Leather Work
The work of her studio became famous internationally. She won many
awards at the large international Exhibitions of that time, and
received orders from America, Russia, France, as well as from the
U.K. Her work may be seen in All Saints Church where her pupils
crafted the Reredos at the back of the altar, and artefacts including
her leatherwork also survive at the present Mary Bassett School.
Below (and on the left) are some examples
of leather work by the Mary Bassett Handicraft School.
