The River Studio

Below are some other buildings associated with Mary Bassett.

In 1899 she moved to a large studio on Bridge Meadows named Riverside Studio. This
iron-framed studio was later moved intact to the home she designed and built herself
Stonhill - on Billington Road, although it not longer remains.

The Riverside Studio Caretakers Cottage
In the garden at 'Stonhill' there is a small workshop that was used by Mary's pupils. It can be seen in the background on the left of the picture of the garden above (c. 1930) and also in more detail in the picture in the top left corner of this page (c. 2000).
